Polewali Mandar-the Integrated Agriculture Program which is part of the village development initiative managed by Lokadesa, resumed monitoring activities at its farm location in Polewali Mandar Regency, West Sulawesi. This Monitoring is carried out in an effort to ensure the success of the program as well as monitor the development of integrated agriculture which includes the agricultural, livestock, and fisheries sectors that are integrated in a sustainable manner.
This monitoring activity was carried out by Lokadesa volunteers. The main focus of this monitoring is to evaluate the application of environmentally friendly technologies, utilization of local resources, and increase agricultural productivity in the location.
“We are committed to continue to assist farmers in improving their welfare through the implementation of a sustainable integrated farming system. The interim results show an improvement in production quality as well as land and resource use efficiency,” said Lokadesa volunteer, a representative from Lokadesa Polewali Mandar.
This approach is expected to have a positive impact not only on the economy of farmers, but also on the preservation of the local environment.
