Indonesia is in position 133 FIFA rankings, one level above Malaysia, after winning two draws in Group C of the third round of World Cup qualification 2026 Asian zone.
Ragnar Oratmangoen and friends placed 133rd with 1108.73 points, ahead of Malaysia with 1107.58 points. Thailand became the highest ranked Southeast Asian country in position 101 with a gain of 1218.56 points.
The draw against Australia had brought Indonesia up to 129 for a while on Wednesday morning. But Shin Tae-yong’s men were back in 133rd place after FIFA member nations completed World Cup qualifying matches until Wednesday afternoon.

The Garuda team has the opportunity to rise to 129th place with an additional 15.45 points, thanks to two draws against two countries that have positions above Indonesia, namely an additional 6.88 points after a 1-1 draw over Saudi Arabia and an additional 8.57 points thanks to a 0-0 draw from Australia.

Indonesia is still undergoing a match that is included in the FIFA calendar at the third round of the 2026 World Cup qualification in October, which leaves for Bahrain on October 10 and then travels to China on October 15.
Indonesia’s home match will be held on November 14 by hosting Japan then Saudi Arabia on November 20.
At the top of the world rankings are Argentina who won the 2024 Copa America with a collection of 1901.48 points.
Followed by France who are ranked second despite only being able to become a semifinalist at the 2024 European Cup. Les Bleus now have 1854.91 points.
Champions of the 2024 European Cup, Spain gained an additional 105.75 points and a significant increase in the ranking. La Roja, which was previously ranked eighth, is now ranked third in the world with a collection of 1835.67 points.
In fourth place are England who are finalists for the 2024 European Cup. The Three Lions now have 1812.26 points.
