Dharma pledges to redesign Jakarta’s city plan

The candidate for governor in the 2024 DKI Jakarta Regional Election number two Dharma Pongrekun promised to redesign Jakarta’s urban planning to be able to create even better climate change.

“The current urban planning inhibits the absorption of pollution,” Dharma Pongrekun said in Jakarta on Friday.

He said this was related to the theme of the third debate or the last debate of The Jakarta Pilkada with the theme of urban planning and climate change which will be held on Sunday (17/11).

Dharma admitted that he did not make special preparations in facing this last debate.

“Just do it as usual, see the weather has been found that there is climate change,” he said.

He said related to the city planning of DKI Jakarta after the transfer of the capital to the capital of the archipelago (IKN) made it possible to redesign the city planning.

“Re-design of urban planning that is adjusted to improve so that it affects climate change even better,” he said.

He pointed out that currently trees are being cultured again to form urban forests that will make emissions reductions.

“The re-design is how we Group the mobility of life to be more environmentally friendly,” he said.

According to him, the mobility of citizens will affect the increase in emissions due to pollution.

“So, we have to know first what is the real cause of pollution and that I do not reveal here,” he said.

The DKI Jakarta KPU has determined three pairs of candidates (paslon) of the governor and Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta to advance in the DKI Jakarta Regional Head election (Pilkada) on Sunday (22/9).

The three candidates are Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO) number one (1), Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana (Dharma-Kun) from independent number two (2) and Pramono Anung-Rano Karno (Pram-Doel) number three (3).

The 2024 Jakarta regional election will be held on November 27, 2024.
