Minister of culture encourages the relevance of museums for the younger generation

Museums in Indonesia are not only silent witnesses of rich history, culture and traditions, but also an important medium for introducing Indonesian culture to foreigners. The existence of the museum is expected to remain relevant for young Indonesians, making it a fun and useful Recreation Area.

Minister Of Culture Of The Republic Of Indonesia, Dr. Fadli Zon, M.Sc, underlined the commitment of the Ministry of Culture in supporting the preservation of culture by involving the participation of the younger generation.This was conveyed when giving a speech at the opening ceremony of the Museum Quiz Competition (LCCM) held at the National Museum of Indonesia, on Friday (1/11/2024).

On the same occasion, Dr. Fadli Zon also expressed his hope that museums in Indonesia can be more qualified in the future. To achieve this goal, it is important that there is a standardization that must be applied by all museums in Indonesia.

With these steps, it is hoped that museums in Indonesia can continue to be an interesting and relevant educational resource for the younger generation, as well as a place that can inspire and enrich their knowledge of the nation’s culture and history.
